The most important factor is the area the enclosure has to cover. The longer the pool, the more segments are needed; the wider it is, the larger and sturdier each segment must be. The outer dimensions of the enclosure also depend on the pool edge and the space around the pool.
A low enclosure uses the least material and is usually the most affordable choice. A mid-height enclosure lets you swim with the roof closed, and a high enclosure turns your pool into a covered living space. The higher the enclosure, the larger the segments, the profiles and the amount of polycarbonate, and the higher the price.
Each height comes in several models, each with its own shape, profile and look. You also choose the colour of the aluminium profiles and the thickness of the polycarbonate. A heavier version is sturdier and insulates better, and also costs a little more.
Doors, an extra side door, a motor for opening and closing, a locking system or a version without rails affect the price. You only choose what you really need.
